1. dog noun [ dawg, dog ]

an animal with four legs, a pointed nose and a tail usually kept as a house pet
(犬, わんわん)

◼ Example: The dog is running for the stick.
◻ Note: Do you have a pet dog?

2. monkey noun [ muhng-kee ]

a small to medium-sized animal with a long tail and mostly live in trees
(モンキー, 猿)

◼ Example: The monkey is hanging on a tree.
◻ Note: Do you like monkeys?

3. boy noun [ boi ]

a male child or teenager
(おとこのこ, 男の子)

◼ Example: Some boys are playing soccer.
◻ Note: How many boys are in your class?

4. girl noun [ gurl ]

a female child or teenager
(おんなのこ, 女の子)

◼ Example: The girl is wearing a cute dress.
◻ Note: How many girls are in your class?

5. hot adjective [ hot ]

holding or giving off great heat
(暑, あつい)

◼ Example: Today is hot.
◻ Note: Is it hot today?
