Part 1: Vocabulary words

1. Happen verb [hap-uhn]

to take place; to occur
(起こる)

◼ Example: Did you hear what happened at the party last night?
◻ Note: Have you ever had something unexpected happen to you?

2. Pool noun [poo l]

an artificial basin, usually of concrete, used for swimming
(プール)

◼ Example: I like to go to the pool in the summer.
