Part 1: Vocabulary words

1. Maybe adverb [mey-bee]

possibly, used when you are not sure about something
(たぶん、もしかしたら)

◼ Example: Maybe it will rain tomorrow.
◻ Note: Tell me a situation when you use "maybe."

2. First adjective [furst]

coming before all others in time or order
(最初の)

◼ Example: My first class is English.
◻ Note: What is the first thing you do in the morning?

3. Give up phrasal verb [giv-uhp]

to stop trying to do something
(あきらめる)

◼ Example: I won't give up until I achieve my goal.
◻ Note: Tell me about a time when you didn't give up.

4. Headache noun [hed-eyk]

a pain in your head
(頭痛)

◼ Example: I have a headache, so I can't concentrate.
◻ Note: What do you do when you have a headache?

5. Rose noun [rohz]

a beautiful flower with a pleasant smell, often given as a symbol of love
(バラ)

◼ Example: He gave me a red rose on Valentine's Day.
◻ Note: What color rose do you like?
