1. Probably adverb [prob-uh-blee]

most likely

◼ Example: The kids will probably enjoy the party because of the games and clown performances.
◻ Note: What would you probably do if you had a long vacation?

2. Gradually adverb [graj-oo-uhl]

advancing or progressing in a gradual or regular or continuous degree or manner

◼ Example: He thought he wouldn't be able to master using the machine, but now, he’s gradually learning how to operate it with ease.
◻ Note: ‘Gradual’ is the adjective form of ‘gradually’.

3. Indeed adverb [in-deed]

without any doubts; in truth; in fact; in reality

◼ Example: Nelson Mandela is indeed one of the biggest names in history.
◻ Note: ‘Indeed’ is also used in expressing surprise. Indeed! You have undoubtedly triumphed!

4. Never adverb [nev-er]

not ever; at no time; on no occasion; in no possible way; unconditionally not

◼ Example: He promised himself he would never fail his father.
◻ Note: What is that thing that you will never do?

5. Unfortunately adverb [uhn-fawr-chuh-nit]

without any luck or unluckily; regrettably

◼ Example: Unfortunately, he couldn’t pursue his dream of becoming a doctor.

◻ Note: Its adjective form, ‘unfortunate’, means suffering from bad luck. Having lost all his riches, everybody thinks he is a very unfortunate man.

6. Currently adverb [kur-uhnt-lee, kuhr-]

now or at the present time

◼ Example: We are currently working on our post-graduate thesis.
◻ Note: What are you currently doing?

7. Immediately adverb [ih-mee-dee-it-lee]

instantly and without delay; at once

◼ Example: He was brought immediately to the hospital right after the attack.
◻ Note: This word can also be used as a conjunction which means ‘as soon as’ or ‘directly’.
He started working immediately after he arrived at the office.

8. Increasingly adverb [in-kree-sing-lee]

advancing or increasing in amount, extent or intensity

◼ Example: She became increasingly hostile after her break up with her boyfriend.
◻ Note: Tell me about a thing that is increasingly becoming popular in Japan.

9. Nearly adverb [neer-lee]

all but; almost but not quite

◼ Example: I nearly hit the jackpot! closely or intimately; with close affinity
◼ Example: The hospital doesn’t allow visitors except for those who are nearly concerned and related to the patient.
◻ Note: Give me an example of a thing that you nearly had but not quite.

10. Relatively adverb [rel-uh-tiv-lee]

in comparison with something else; in a relative way or manner

◼ Example: There was a relatively small difference between the two plans.

◻ Note: Another word for it is ‘comparatively’.
