One of the characters that Japanese use is Kanji. They adopted it from Chinese characters. There are more than 5000 kanji characters but you only need to know about 2,000 of them to read a newspaper. Kanji came first to Japan on letters, swords, mirrors, coins and other things that were imported from China. Japanese children are expected to learn 1,006 characters before they finish sixth grade. Kanji de Mangah is a manga that was produced by the University of Manga to help people learn and remember basic kanji.
